Introduction to End Times Prophecies

God has revealed the end from the beginning

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose. (Isaiah 46: 9-10)

What was the Beginning of this Age?

·       In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1: 1)

·       God made man (male and female) in His image and gave humans dominion over the fish, birds, livestock, and every creeping thing on the earth. (Genesis 1: 26-27)

·       What God made was perfect. He allows free will. Eventually Adam and Eve sinned. Then death entered the world. (Genesis 2: 15-16) (Genesis 3)

·       Because of Adam’s sin, all humans are born with a sinful nature. The wage of sin is death. But the power of sin and death was conquered by Jesus Christ.  (Romans 5: 19) (Romans 6: 23)

What is the Purpose of this Age?

·       This age is when each person is given the opportunity to choose: accept God or reject Him.
That choice determines where each person will spend eternity: with the Lord or without Him.

·       All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Salvation from sin is available through Jesus Christ, but those who reject Jesus Christ will be condemned. (Romans 3: 23-26) (John 3: 16-19)

·       People have no excuse for not knowing about God because His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly displayed and perceived. The wrath of God will be against the ungodly and unrighteous. (Romans 1: 18-20)

What is the End of this Age?

·       The end of this age is not the end of the world. It is the end of the age in which Satan is allowed to deceive and tempt humans. (Matthew 13: 39-43)

·       Meanwhile, Jesus Christ has promised to always be with His followers. (Matthew 28: 19-20)

What happens when this Age ends?

·       Jesus Christ will begin His eternal reign. (Revelation 11: 16-17)

·       Jesus Christ will gather His elect and they will be transformed. (Matthew 24: 29-31)

·       The world’s armies will be gathered for the battle of Armageddon. (Revelation 16: 12-16)

·       Jesus Christ will implement God’s wrath (The Day of the Lord). (Revelation 19: 14-16)

·       Satan will be bound for a thousand years. (Revelation 20: 1-3)

·       The saints will live and reign with Jesus Christ for a thousand years (the Millennial Age). (Revelation 20: 4-5)

What happens after the Millennial Age ends?

·       Satan will be set loose for short while. (Revelation 20: 7)

·       The world’s armies will assemble for one final battle and will be destroyed by fire from heaven. (Revelation 20: 8-9)

·       Satan will be cast into the lake of fire for eternal torment. (Revelation 20: 10)

·       Heaven and earth will disappear. (Revelation 20: 11)

·       Final judgment will take place at the Great White Throne. (Revelation 20: 11)

·       The books will be opened and people will be judged. (Revelation 20: 12-13)

·       Death and Hades will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20: 14)

·       Anyone whose name is not in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20: 15)

·       Everyone will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14: 11-12)

·       Every knee shall bow and very tongue shall confess to God. (Romans 14: 11-12)

What happens after the Final Judgment?

·       The first heaven and first earth will be passed away. (Revelation 21: 1)

·       There will be no more sea. (Revelation 21: 1)

·       God will make all things new (a new heaven and a new earth). (Revelation 21: 5-6)

·       A new Jerusalem will come down from heaven. (Revelation 21: 2)

·       God will make His dwelling among His people. (Revelation 21: 3)

What are the Signs of the Season?

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise, ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. (Matthew 24: 32-33) (Mark 13: 28-29)

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

The Signs before the Great Tribulation

·       The nation of Israel will be restored. This happened in 1948. (Jeremiah 30)

·       People will become more wicked. (2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

·       False messiahs and false prophets lead people astray. (Matthew 24: 5, 11, 23-26) (Luke 21: 8)

·       It will be as in the days of Noah. (Matthew 24: 36-19)

·       Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies. (Luke 21: 20-24)

·       Sacrifice/offering will be terminated, the Abomination will be set up at the temple. (Daniel 9: 27)

·       The Abomination that causes desolation will be set up at the temple. (Matthew 24: 15-21)

The Birth Pains

·       Wars and rumors of wars. (Matthew 24: 6-8) (Luke 21: 9-10)

·       Nation against nation. Kingdom against kingdom. (Matthew 24: 6-8) (Luke 21: 9-10)

·       Famines, pestilence, and earthquakes in diverse places. (Matthew 24: 6-8) (Luke 21: 11)

·       Christians will be hated, persecuted, and martyred. (Matthew 24: 9) (Luke 21: 12-17)

·       Many Christians will fall away from their faith. (Matthew 24: 10)

·       Many will be offended, betray one another, and hate one another. (Matthew 24: 10)

·       Lawlessness will be increased. Love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24: 12)

The Signs before the battle of Armageddon

·       The land will be recovering from war. Cities/nations without walls/borders. (Ezekiel 38: 7-13)

·       People proclaiming “peace and safety.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 1-3)

·       God will call a man (bird of prey) from the far east to destroy Mystery Babylon. (Isaiah 46-47)

·       God will call wild birds/animals to a great feast (the battle of Armageddon). (Ezekiel 39:4) (Revelation 19: 17)

God’s Timing

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3: 9)

What is God’s Calendar?

God established a calendar and gave it to the Hebrew people. The timing of the festivals correlates with Bible prophecies and foreshadows end times events.

Based on Leviticus 23, God commanded the Hebrew people to observe the following sacred assemblies:

What Sabbaths did God mandate?

·       The Sabbath Day (A Day of Rest). (Genesis 2: 3) (Exodus 20: 8) (Leviticus 23: 1-3)

·       The Sabbath Year (A Year of Rest). (Leviticus 25: 1-7) (Leviticus 25: 18-22)

·       The Jubilee Year (A Time of Rest & Redemption) (Leviticus 25: 8-55)

Reward or Punishment?

·       A Covenant between God and His people. (Leviticus 25) (Leviticus 26: 1-3)

·       Blessings for obedience.

o   Plentiful crops, peace, no sword, no beasts. (Leviticus 26: 4-6)

o   Victory over their enemies (Leviticus 26: 7-8)

o   Flourish, multiply in numbers, God with them. (Leviticus 26: 9-13)

·       Punishments for disobedience. (Leviticus 26: 14-15)

o   Terror, consumption, victim to enemies. (Leviticus 26: 16-17)

o   Poor crops, wild beasts, sword, pestilence (Leviticus 26: 20, 22, 25)

o   Punishment will be increased 7 times. (Leviticus 26: 18, 21, 23-24, 27-28)

o   Famine (and cannibalism), cities destroyed, desolate land, exile (Leviticus 26: 29-32)

o   God’s holy land will finally observe its Sabbath Year rest. (Leviticus 26: 34-35)

70 “Weeks”

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (Daniel 9: 24)

God’s judgment is counted out in “weeks” (“sevens”) (7-year increments) (Daniel 9: 24-27)

·       The 70 “weeks” are part of God’s judgment – it is NOT God’s wrath.

·       The 70 “weeks” total 490 years (70 x 7 = 490).

·       It appears that 69 of the 70 “weeks” have been completed.

·       When the 70 “weeks” are completed, “everlasting righteousness” will be brought in and “the most holy” will be anointed: Jesus Christ will begin His reign.

The Final 7 Years

·       The Antichrist will confirm a 7-year covenant with many. (Daniel 9: 27)

·       Halfway through the 7 years, he will break the covenant. (Daniel 9: 27)

·       The Antichrist will put an end to temple sacrifice and offering (at the 3rd Temple). (Daniel 9: 27)

·       The Abomination that causes desolation will be set up. (Daniel 9: 27)

·       When the Abomination is set up in the holy place (the 3rd temple), the Gentiles will begin trampling the temple, and the Great Tribulation begins. (Matthew 24: 15) (Revelation 11: 1-3)

·       The Antichrist will eventually be destroyed (by Jesus Christ). (Daniel 9: 27) (Revelation 19: 20)

1260 / 1290 / 1335 Days

·       The 2 Witnesses will testify for 1260 days (during the Great Tribulation). (Revelation 11: 1-3)

·       From the time that the daily sacrifice is terminated and the abomination is set up (until the end of this age) will be 1290 days. (Daniel 12: 11)

·       1290 – 1260 = 30. Will the daily sacrifice be stopped 30 days before the abomination is set up?

·       Blessed is the one who waits and arrives at the 1335 days. (Daniel 12: 12) Jesus’ coronation?

·       1335 – 1290 = 45. Will there be 45 days between the end of the Great Tribulation and the time that Jesus arrives at Armageddon (when the Jewish people will finally be able to recognize their Jewish Messiah), or when Jesus ascends to His throne in Jerusalem (Emmanuel: God with us)?

The 7 Churches

End Times Prophecies describe 7 different Churches:

  1. The Church that abandoned her First Love
  2. The Church that is financially Poor but Faithful
  3. The Church that is located near Satan’s Throne
  4. The Church that tolerates Jezebel and Sexual Immorality
  5. The Church that has a reputation for being Alive but is Dead
  6. The Church that has endured Persecution
  7. The Church that boasts Prosperity but is Lukewarm

Jesus comments on the 7 Churches

In Revelation 1-3, Jesus Christ addressed 7 churches that existed at the time John received the revelation. Jesus’ description of the churches still applies to various types of churches today.

1.     The church that abandoned her First Love

This church:

But this church:

2.     The church that is financially Poor but Faithful

This church:

·       Has endured tribulation and poverty. (Revelation 2: 9)

·       Has been blasphemed by false Jews (the synagogue of Satan). (Revelation 2: 9)

·       Will endure more suffering and will endure tribulation for 10 days. (Revelation 2: 10)

·       Some will be cast into prison and tried. (Revelation 2: 10)

·       Will receive a crown of life if they remain faithful despite tribulation. (Revelation 2: 10)

3.     The church that is located near Satan’s throne

This church:

·       Is physically located near Satan’s throne (the Pergamon Altar) (aka Throne of Zeus). It was previously in Pergamon (Turkey). The Pergamon Altar is currently located in Berlin (Germany) at the Pergamon Museum. (Revelation 2: 13)

·       Is faithful and has not denied Jesus’s name. (Revelation 2: 13)

But this church:

·       Holds to the teaching of Balaam and Nicolaitans (sexual immorality and eating food sacrificed to idols). (Revelation 2: 14-15)

·       Needs to repent or Jesus will fight against them. (Revelation 2: 16)

4.     The church that tolerates Jezebel and Sexual Immorality

This church:

·       Demonstrates love, patience, and service. (Revelation 2: 19)

·       Has faith that is evidenced with works (even more than at first). (Revelation 2: 19)

·       Has some people who have remained faithful to Jesus. (Revelation 2: 24)

But this church:

·       Tolerates Jezebel (a prophetess who seduces believers into sexual immorality and eating things sacrificed to idols). (Revelation 2: 20-23)

·       Has people who have learned the deep things of Satan. (Revelation 2: 24)

·       Needs to repent or they will go through great tribulation. (Revelation 2: 22-23)

5.     The church that has a reputation of being Alive but is Dead

This church:

·       Has a few people who have not been spiritually unfaithful. (Revelation 3: 4)

But this church:

·       Has a reputation of being spiritually alive but is spiritually dead. (Revelation 3: 1)

·       Has works that are not perfect / complete. (Revelation 3: 2)

·       Needs to be watchful and strengthen what is dying. (Revelation 3: 3)

·       Needs to repent and hold onto the truth they had received and heard. (Revelation 3: 3)

·       Is at risk of having names blotted out of the book of life. (Revelation 3: 5)

6.     The church that has endured Persecution

This church:

·       Has very little strength. (Revelation 3: 8)

·       Has remained faithful and kept Jesus’ word. (Revelation 3: 8)

·       Has not denied Jesus. (Revelation 3: 8)

·       Has patiently endured persecution by false Jews (synagogue of Satan). (Revelation 3: 9)

·       Needs to hold onto the crown that Jesus gives them. (Revelation 3: 11)

·       Will be protected from the time of Great Tribulation. (Revelation 3: 10)

This scripture is describing churches in which Christians are severely persecuted and/or martyred.

Note: churches in western nations have enjoyed a significant amount of power and very little persecution in the past 100+ years (therefore, this does not appear to be describing western churches).

7.     The church that boasts Prosperity and is Lukewarm

This church:

·       Claims to be rich in material things and in need of nothing. (Revelation 3: 17)

·       Is spiritually wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. (Revelation 3: 17)

·       Needs to be made righteous, refined in the fire, and eyes opened. (Revelation 3: 18)

·       Needs to repent and be zealous. (Revelation 3: 19)

The Parable of 10 Virgins

·       There are 10 virgins awaiting the Bridegroom’s arrival. (Revelation 25: 1)

·       The “wise” virgins prepared for the possibility that the Bridegroom might arrive later than expected. (Revelation 25: 2, 4)

·       The “foolish” virgins did not prepare for a possible delay. (Revelation 25: 3)

·       While the Bridegroom tarried, all 10 virgins fell asleep. (Revelation 25: 5)

·       When they were awakened and realized that the Bridegroom was about to arrive, they trimmed their lamps. (Revelation 25: 6-7)

·       The foolish virgins ran out of oil and went away to buy more oil. (Revelation 25: 8-9)

·       When the Bridegroom arrived, the ones that were ready were brought into the marriage supper (of the Lamb) and the door was closed. (Revelation 25: 10)

·       When the ones who were not ready finally got back from buying oil, the Bridegroom told them to go away.  (Revelation 25: 11-12)

·       He said that He didn’t know them (He didn’t say that He never knew them). They had become strangers to Him (they had fallen out of relationship with Him). (Revelation 25: 11-12)

This is clearly a warning that Jesus Christ might not come for His Bride as soon as we think/hope He will. Therefore, Christians must be spiritually prepared for the possibility that we might be here during the time of Great Tribulation. Half of the virgins (Christians) were not admitted to the wedding supper.

The Great Apostacy (A Falling Away)

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4: 1-2)

·       Before Jesus Christ returns, the Antichrist will be revealed. (2 Thessalonians 2: 2-3)

·       Before Jesus Christ returns, there will be a falling away from the faith. (2 Thessalonians 2: 2-3)

·       Which believers are most at risk for falling away from their faith?

o   The believers who are lukewarm toward Jesus Christ. (Revelation 3: 14-22)

o   The believers who follow false teachers. (2 Timothy 4: 2-4) (2 Peter 2)

o   The believers who did not prepare for the possibility that they might be here during the Great Tribulation because they were taught that the rapture will happen beforehand.

o   Would these believers not feel betrayed, bewildered, terrified, and spiritually unprepared if they find themselves experiencing Great Tribulation?

Beware of people who say what you want to hear

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. (2 Timothy 4: 2-5)

Three Epic Battles

End Times Prophecies describe 3 Epic Battles:

The 6th Trumpet War (Pre-Great Tribulation)

·       Four angels will be released from the Euphrates River. (Revelation 9: 13-14)

·       A third of mankind will be killed in the 6th Trumpet war (Revelation 9: 15)

·       An army of 200 million soldiers. (Revelation 9: 16)

·       Weapons of fire, smoke, and brimstone. (Revelation 9: 17-18)

·       The people remain unrepentant (Revelation 9: 19-20)

The Battle at Armageddon (Post-Great Tribulation) (the 7th Bowl of God’s wrath)

·       Immediately after the Great Tribulation: sun and moon are darkened; stars fall from heaven. (Matthew 24: 29)

·       The heavens roll up like a scroll (before the 1st bowl of God’s wrath begins). (Revelation 6: 14)

·       Jesus Christ returns in power and great glory. (Matthew 24: 30)

·       Jesus Christ arrives with the armies of heaven. (Revelation 19: 11-14)

·       It is part of the 6th Seal. (Revelation 6: 17)

·       It is part of the 7th Trumpet. (Revelation 11: 15-19)

·       It is the 7th Golden Bowl/Vial of God’s Wrath. (Revelation 16: 16-21)

·       It is the Grapes of Wrath. (God’s Winepress) (Revelation 14: 18-20) (Joel 3: 13-16)

·       Jesus Christ will implement God’s’ Wrath (the Day of the Lord). (Revelation 19: 15-16)

·       The wicked will be gathered at Armageddon. (Matthew 13: 29-30) (Revelation 16: 16)

·       The Antichrist, the kings of the earth, and their armies will gather to wage war against Jesus Christ & His armies. (Revelation 19: 19)

·       Jesus will destroy the wicked with the sword of His mouth. (Revelation 19:11-21)

·       When the wicked are killed, the blood will be as high as a horse’s bridle for 184 miles. (Revelation 14: 20)

·       The birds will be called to the great supper (to feast on the dead). (Revelation 19: 17-18)

·       The Antichrist and the False Prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire. (Revelation 19: 20)

·       The kings and their armies will be killed. The birds will eat their bodies. (Revelation 19: 21)

·       Gog of Magog and his armies will be killed, eaten by birds and beasts, then eventually buried at Hamongog (aka Armageddon). (Ezekiel 39: 4-5) (Ezekiel 39: 11-12) (Ezekiel 39: 15-20)

The Day of the Lord is known by several names:

·       The battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16: 16)

·       The winepress of God (Revelation 14: 18-20) (Joel 3: 13-16)

·       The 6th Seal (Revelation 6: 17)

·       The 7th Trumpet (Revelation 11: 18)

·       The 7th Golden Bowl/Vial of God’s wrath (Revelation 16: 16-21)

·       The Day of the Lord (Zechariah 14) (Joel 1-3) (Malachi 4: 5)

The geographical location of this battle is known by several names:

·       The valley of Armageddon (Revelation 16: 16)

·       The valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3: 2-3, 12-13)

·       The valley of decision (Joel 3: 14)

·       The valley of Jezreel (Hosea 1: 5, 11)

·       The valley of Megiddo (Zechariah 12: 9-11)

·       The valley of Hamongog (Ezekiel 39: 11, 15)

The Final War (Post-Millennial)

·       At the Battle of Armageddon, Satan will be bound for a Thousand Years. (Revelation 20: 1-3)

·       After the Thousand Years, Satan will be released. (Revelation 20: 7)

·       Gog and Magog and the nations will gather for war against the saints. (Revelation 20: 8)

·       Gog, Magog, and the nations will be destroyed by fire from God out of heaven (Revelation 20: 9)

·       The Devil (Satan) will be cast into the lake of fire for eternal torment. (Revelation 20: 10)

One Antichrist + Two People called “Gog”

The Convergence of Prophecies

The Great Tribulation

·       The 5th Seal & the 6th Trumpet both describe the time of Great Tribulation (the wrath of Satan). (Revelation 6: 9-11) (Revelation 11: 1-14)

The first 4 Seals were Horsemen.

According to the calendar that God gave the Hebrews, each of the Horsemen were released on the last day of a Sabbath Year, exactly 7 years apart.

The 5th Seal is not a Horseman.

The opening of the 5th Seal marks the start of the final years of this age.

·       Is it Solar Dimming or Global Quickening (time moving faster)?

·       Or could it be describing an event that has not yet happened?

·       There will be weapons of fire, smoke, and brimstone. (Revelation 9: 17-19)

·       The people still will not repent of their sins. (Revelation 9: 20-21)

The Little Book

·       When the little book is eaten, it tastes sweet. But once it is in the stomach, it turns bitter. (Revelation 10: 9-11)

·       Lightning, thundering, a great earthquake, and 100-pound hail. (Revelation 11: 15-19)

The Beasts

The 4 Beasts

·       Daniel sees 4 great beasts come up out of the sea. (Daniel 7: 3)

·       The 4 beasts are different from one another. (Daniel 7: 3)

·       The 4 beasts are 4 kings/kingdoms that will arise out of the earth. (Daniel 7: 17)

·       The 4 beasts will all be on the earth at the same time (modern day kingdoms). (Daniel 7: 11-12)

o   This is not describing ancient kingdoms.

o   The terrifying beast will be destroyed (at the battle of Armageddon).

o   The other 3 beasts will lose their dominion but allowed to live for a while longer.

o   The other 3 beasts will be ruled over by Jesus Christ when he begins His reign with the Millennial Age. (Revelation 20)

The 1st Beast

·       Is like a lion. (Daniel 7: 4)

·       Has eagle’s wings that are plucked off (forcibly removed). (Daniel 7: 4)

·       Is made to stand upon the feet as a man (no longer stand like a beast). (Daniel 7: 4)

·       Is given a man’s heart (no longer a beast’s heart). (Daniel 7: 4)

Does anything currently fit this Description?

·       What modern day kingdom is represented by a lion? Great Britain.

·       What modern day kingdom is represented by an eagle? The United States of America.

·       When were the eagle’s wings plucked off the lion? When the USA forcibly gained its independence from Great Britain.

·       When did Great Britain stop behaving like a beast (gobbling up other nations) and develop a man’s heart? After the USA gained its independence from Great Britain.

The 2nd Beast

·       Is like a bear. (Daniel 7: 5)

·       Has raised up itself on one side. (Daniel 7: 5)

·       Has 3 ribs in its mouth (it has devoured 3 nations). (Daniel 7: 5)

·       Is told to devour much flesh (nations). (Daniel 7: 5)

Does anything currently fit this Description?

·       What modern day kingdom is represented by a bear? Russia.

·       Is that Beast still acting like a beast (gobbling up other nations)? Yes.

The 3rd Beast

·       Will have the body (structure) of a leopard. (Daniel 7: 6)

·       Will have 4 wings of a fowl attached to the body. (Daniel 7: 6)

·       Will have 4 heads. (Daniel 7: 6)

·       Will be given dominion. (Daniel 7: 6)

Does anything currently fit this Description?

·       What modern day kingdom is represented by a leopard? Germany.

·       What modern day kingdom is represented by a fowl? France.

o   Germany and France now have a very strong alliance even though historically they did not.

·       What are the 4 heads of the leopard beast? The heads represent eras.

·       What are the 4 eras of Germany?

o   The 1st Reich (the Holy Roman Empire)

o   The 2nd Reich (ended in WW1)

o   The 3rd Reich (ended in WW2)

o   The 4th Reich (began with the removal of the Berlin wall)

·       What dominion has been given to the leopard? Germany created the European Union and wields great power over it.

o   Therefore, the European Union could potentially be considered the 3rd Beast.

·       Brexit resulted in Great Britain (the 1st Beast) no longer being part of the European Union (the 2nd Beast).

The 4th Beast

Based on the statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the 4th kingdom:

·       Will be strong as Iron. (Daniel 2: 40-41)

·       Will break, bruise, and subdue all things. (Daniel 2: 40-41)

·       Will be a divided kingdom. (Daniel 2: 40-41)

·       Will be partly strong and partly broken. (Daniel 2: 42-43)

·       Will be like iron mixed with clay. (Daniel 2: 40-41)

o   “Clay” is a Biblical reference to humans. (Isaiah 45: 9) (Isaiah 64: 8) (Job 10:9) (Jeremiah 18: 6) (Romans 9: 21)

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, as iron is not mixed with clay. (Daniel 2: 43)

·       Something referred to as “iron” will “mingle themselves with the seed of men” (humans).
Apparently, the “iron” described in this Scripture is not human. (Daniel 2: 42-43)

o   Based on ancient history and/or current technology, “Iron” could be a reference to:

·       Nephilim (Genesis 6: 4)

·       Nanotechnology

·       Something as yet unrevealed

It appears to represent a global government.

·       The Beast has 7 Heads, 10 Horns, and 10 Crowns (Revelation 13: 1)

·       One of the 7 heads has a deadly wound that was healed. This indicates that one of the heads was once dead but will live again. (Revelation 13: 3)

o   None of the 4 Beasts in Daniel are described as having a fatally wounded head.

o   But the Scarlet Beast (that the Great Harlot rides) has 7 heads. There will be an 8th king that was of the 7 ancient kings. He once lived, was not alive at the time of the prophecy, but would live again at the end of this age. (Revelation 17: 10-11)

·       The people worship the Beast. (Revelation 13: 4)

o   They worship the dragon (Satan) for giving his power to the beast.

o   They worship the beast:

§  Who is like the beast? (He is unique.)

§  Who is strong enough to make war with him? (He appears invincible.)

§  BTW, those same words were used to describe Gilgamesh (Epic of Gilgamesh).

·       The Mouth of the Beast (the Antichrist) (Revelation 13: 5-8)

o   The spokesman of the global government beast.

·       It appears that the 3 kings that will be usurped by the Antichrist (Daniel 7: 8) Daniel 7: 24-26) will be: Britain (the lion), Russia (the bear), and the European Union (the leopard). They are the 3 kingdoms that will be absorbed into (become part of) the Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13: 2).

The Great Harlot (The Great City: Mystery Babylon)

·       The Great Harlot will ride the beast. This indicates that she will have control over the beast. (Revelation 17: 3-5)

·       The 10 kings will hate the Harlot and they will eventually destroy her. (Revelation 17: 16-17)

·       The Woman will be Drunk on the Blood of the Saints. God will hold her accountable for the blood of His martyrs.  (Revelation 17: 6)

·       She is the Great City (Mystery Babylon) that rules over the Beast (and coalition of 10 kings). This indicates that it is a geographical location with an international court. (Revelation 17: 18)

·       At the end of the Great Tribulation, the Great City (Mystery Babylon) will be utterly destroyed (Revelation 14: 8) (Revelation 16: 19) (Revelation 18)

The 2 Witnesses

·       God has commanded that there be at least 2 witnesses before a sentence of death can be carried out (Deuteronomy 17: 6) (Deuteronomy 19: 15).

·       Therefore, God will send His 2 witnesses to bear witness to what the world does to His people during the time of Great Tribulation. (Revelation 11)

·       Just before the Great Tribulation begins, God will send His two witnesses. They will prophesy and testify for 1260 days. (Revelation 11: 3)

·       When their testimony is complete, the Antichrist will kill the 2 witnesses and their bodies will lay unburied as the world celebrates. (Revelation 11: 7-10)

·       After 3-1/2 days, they will be resurrected and the people will be terrified. (Revelation 11: 11-13)

·       Then there will be a great earthquake, a tenth of the city will fall, and 7000 men will die in the earthquake. (Revelation 11: 13)

The Great Tribulation (Satan’s wrath)

The time of great tribulation is the wrath of Satan (it is not the wrath of God):

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Revelation 12: 12)

A War in Heaven

·       Satan and his angels will fight against God. They will lose the fight and be cast out of heaven. Satan will be extremely angry. (Revelation 12: 7-12)

·       At the time that Satan is kicked out of heaven, there are Christians in heaven. Therefore, this event did not occur before or immediately after Jesus was crucified. (Revelation 12: 10-11)

·       When Satan is kicked out of heaven, he will have great wrath because he will know that his time is short. The Great Tribulation is the time of Satan’s wrath. (Revelation 12: 12)

·       Satan will initially pour out his wrath onto the Jewish people but God will protect a Jewish remnant. (Revelation 12: 13-16)

·       When Satan realizes that God won’t allow him to completely annihilate the Jewish people, Satan will pour his wrath onto Christians. (Revelation 12: 17)

Before Jesus Returns

·       There will be a great falling away from Christianity. (2 Thessalonians 2: 1-3)

·       The Antichrist will be revealed and he will sit in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. (2 Thessalonians 2: 4) (2 Thessalonians 2: 8-10)

·       The one that has been holding Satan back will no longer hold Satan back. This does not specifically say that the Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth. (2 Thessalonians 2: 5-7)

·       The Great Tribulation will take place. (Matthew 24: 29-31)

The Great Delusion

·       Because people choose to turn away from truth and have pleasure in unrighteousness, God will send them a strong delusion. (2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12)

·       A strong delusion can predispose a mass psychosis and cause people to be more susceptible to a totalitarian government.

The Great Tribulation

·       Jesus Christ describes the time of Great Tribulation. (Matthew 24 and Mark 13)

·       The Great Tribulation is the timeframe in which Satan unleashes his wrath onto the world because he knows that his time is short. (Revelation 12: 12-17)

·       The Great Tribulation begins when the Abomination is set up at the temple (Matthew 24: 15-21)

·       Halfway through the 7-year covenant, the Abomination will be set up. (Daniel 9: 27)

·       The Antichrist will be in power for 42 months (3-1/2 years). (Revelation 13: 7)

·       The Antichrist will target both Jews and Christians. (Revelation 12: 12-17)

·       The Antichrist will conquer the saints (hagios = holy people). (Daniel 7: 21-22) (Revelation 13: 7)

·       The days will be shortened for the sake of the elect (eklektos = the chosen). (Matthew 24: 22)

·       The Great Tribulation will last for 3-1/2 years (the second half of the final 7 years). (Daniel 9: 27)

·       The Great Tribulation will be worse than any time in history – ever. (Matthew 24: 21)

·       If the days were not shortened, no human would survive. This indicates that something that isn’t fully human will be destroying humans during the Great Tribulation. (Matthew 24: 22)

Protection or Refining Fire?

·       Being kept from the trial (the Great Tribulation). (Revelation 3: 7-13)

·       Worthy to escape the trial (the Great Tribulation). (Luke 21: 36) (Matthew 10: 38)

·       Protection during the trial (Daniel 6: 22) (Daniel 3: 17-25)

·       Faithfulness and patient endurance. (Matthew 24: 21-22) (Revelation 13: 10) (Rev 14: 12-13)

·       Refining fire. (Daniel 12: 10) (Zechariah 13: 9) (Isaiah 48: 10) (Malachi 3: 2-3) (Revelation 3: 18)

·       Martyrs. (Revelation 17: 6) (Revelation 14: 12-13) (Revelation 6: 9-11) (Acts 7: 55-60)

·       The Great Multitude in White Robes (Christians who went through the Great Tribulation and remained faithful). (Revelation 7: 9-17) (Revelation 12: 12-17)

The Warning

·       Anyone who worships the beast or his image or accepts the Mark of the Beast (the name or number of the Beast) on/in the forehead or right hand will be tormented forever. (Revelation 14: 9-11) (Revelation 16: 2)

·       The first bowl/vial of God’s wrath will be poured onto the people who accepted the Mark of the Beast. The wrath of God will begin immediately after the Great Tribulation. (Revelation 16: 1-2)

The Image of the Beast

·       The False Prophet will cause people to make an image of the Beast and he will cause the image of the Beast to kill anyone who will not worship it. (Revelation 13: 13-15)

The Mark of the Beast

·       The False Prophet will cause people to take the Mark of the Beast on/in their forehead or right hand. Anyone who refuses to take the mark will not be able to buy or sell. (Revelation 13: 16-18)

The Number of the Beast

·       The number of the beast is the number of a man (666). (Revelation 13: 18)

The Day of the Lord (God’s wrath)

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24: 29-31)

·       People will be terrified when they see the celestial and terrestrial signs. (Luke 21: 25-26)

·       People will know that God’s wrath is about to be poured out. (Revelation 6: 16)

·       Jesus will be seen coming in the clouds with power and great glory. (Luke 21: 27-28)

·       Jesus will arrive with the armies of heaven. (Revelation 19: 14)

·       Jesus’s return will be seen everywhere at once (no technology needed). (Matthew 24: 26-27)

·       Redemption is at hand when Jesus is seen returning in power and great glory (after the Great Tribulation). (Matthew 24: 29-31) (Luke 21: 22, 27-18)

The Day of the Lord

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5: 1-3)

·       God’s wrath includes the 7 Golden Bowls/Vials. (Revelation 15-16)

·       The 7th Bowl/Vial is “the Day of the Lord.” (Revelation 15-16)

·       God has not appointed us (those who have received salvation by Jesus Christ) to God’s wrath. Note: God can protect us from His wrath in whatever way He chooses. (1 Thessalonians 5: 1-11)

·       God is angry with those who came against Jerusalem and His people. (Zechariah 14: 1-15)

·       God’s wrath is intended for the wicked, ungodly, and unrighteous because they intentionally turned away from the truth about God. They are without excuse. (Romans 1: 18-32)

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise, also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are ought not to be done; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1: 18-32)

The 7 Golden Bowls / Vials

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. (Revelation 15: 1)

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” (Revelation 16: 1)

The 144,000

·       They will be sealed just before God’s wrath is poured out. (Revelation 7: 1-3)

·       They will be 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes (Revelation 7: 1-8). This appears to be so that they can testify to their own tribes and prepare them to recognize their Messiah (Jesus Christ) when He arrives to save the Jewish remnant at the Battle of Armageddon.

·       They will be Jewish men and they will be virgins. (Revelation 14: 1-5)

·       They will have a special place in heaven. (Revelation 14: 3)

·       They will be called “first fruits” (Revelation 14: 4). This appears to be because they are the first of the Jewish people to receive Jesus as their Savior after the time of the Gentiles is over.

1st Golden Bowl / Vial

·       Grievous sores fall upon those who had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Revelation 16: 2)

·       Because the mark of the beast is part of the Great Tribulation, this confirms that the wrath of God is not poured out until after the Great Tribulation.

2nd Golden Bowl / Vial

·       The sea becomes as the blood of a dead man; every living soul died in the sea. (Revelation 16: 3)

3rd Golden Bowl / Vial

·       The rivers and fountains of waters become blood. God gives them blood to drink because they shed the blood of His martyrs. (Revelation 16: 4-7)

4th Golden Bowl / Vial

·       The sun scorches men with fire/heat and they blaspheme the name of God. They repent not. (Revelation 16: 8-9)

5th Golden Bowl / Vial

·       The kingdom of the beast becomes full of darkness. They gnaw their tongues for pain, blaspheme the God of heaven, and they repent not. (Revelation 16: 10-11)

6th Golden Bowl / Vial

·       The great Euphrates River dries up so that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

·       3 unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and false prophet.

·       The devils, working miracles, will gather the kings of the earth to the battle of Armageddon (aka The Day of the Lord). (Revelation 16: 12-16)

·       The wicked will be gathered together into one place for their destruction. (Matthew 13: 24-43)

·       In addition, those who divided up God’s holy land and cast lots for His people will be gathered to the valley of Jehoshaphat (aka Armageddon). (Joel 3: 1-3)

7th Golden Bowl / Vial

·       There will be thunders, and lightnings; and a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth. The great city will be divided into three parts, and the nations’ cities will fall. Every island and mountain disappear. 100-pound hail will fall out of heaven onto men and they will again blaspheme God. (Revelation 16: 17-21)

·       Mystery Babylon will be destroyed in a single hour. (Revelation 14: 8) (Revelation 16: 19) (Revelation 17) (Revelation 18) (Revelation 19: 1-5)

·       Jesus will tread the winepress of God’s wrath at the battle of Armageddon (the Day of the Lord). (Revelation 19: 15)

The Return of Jesus Christ

·       The return of Jesus Christ will be unmistakable. Everyone will see Him at the same time (like lightning in heaven). Jesus Christ will return in power and great glory with the armies of heaven.

·       The sun and moon will be darkened, the stars will fall from heaven, and the heavens will roll up like a scroll.

·       (Matthew 24: 23-44) (Acts 1: 9-11) (Luke 17: 22-24) (Isaiah 34: 4) (Revelation 6: 13-15) (Revelation 19: 11-16)

·       The harvest of the vine of the earth (the wicked) and the winepress of God’s wrath. (Revelation 14: 17-20) (Revelation 19: 11-21)

o   Both the Antichrist and False Prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire. (Revelation 19: 20)

o   Gog and his hordes (those who took the mark of the beast) will be killed and the birds will feed on their flesh. (Revelation 19: 21)

The Righteous

·       Harvest of the earth (Revelation 14: 14-16) (Matthew 24: 29-31) (Mark 13: 24-27)

o   A portion of the Great Multitude in heaven are those who were martyred throughout history and also those who were martyred in the Great Tribulation. (Revelation 6: 9-11)

o   Although there will be a great multitude in heaven, when compared to the total population of the world since time began, few find the narrow gate and path.
(Matthew 7: 13-14)

·       Parable of the 10 Virgins (Matthew 25: 1-13)

o   The number “10” represents a complete number. “Virgins” represent the people who have received God’s Holy Spirit and have not been spiritually unfaithful.

o   All 10 virgins fell asleep (spiritually). Then they are awakened.

o   The 5 wise virgins are invited into the wedding supper.

§  They had prepared for the possibility that the Bridegroom might not arrive as soon as they thought He would. They made sure that they had enough oil (Holy Spirit) to see them through any delay. They remained in relationship with Him.

o   The 5 foolish virgins are not admitted into the wedding supper (they are not raptured).

§  They ran out of oil (Holy Spirit). They had fallen out of relationship with the Bridegroom when He did not arrive as soon as they thought He would. They had become strangers to Him. They represent half of the 10 virgins.

in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
