Rapture Timing: “Prepare to stay until the day of My wrath”

When I asked the Lord to clarify the general timing of the Rapture, He told me:

“Prepare to stay until the day of My wrath.”

Not what I was hoping to hear. And at the time, I wasn’t sure what His statement meant.

The Lord had already clarified to me that the Great Tribulation was Satan’s wrath (Revelation 12: 12-17) – not God’s wrath (Revelation 16). And that God’s wrath will be poured out AFTER the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24: 21-31).

Was the Lord saying that the Rapture would take place on the day that His wrath begins (the 1st Bowl described in Revelation 16: 2)?

I don’t think so, because that day can be calculated (God’s wrath begins immediately after the 1260 days of Great Tribulation ends).

Was the Lord saying that the Rapture would take place just before the Day of the Lord (the 7th Bowl described in Revelation 16: 17-21)?

Possibly, because that day cannot be calculated. The battle of Armageddon takes place at the 7th Bowl but we don’t know how many days the first 6 Bowls will require.

Or, was the Lord saying something more?

Spiritually Prepare

I believe that the Lord was saying that we are to spiritually prepare as if we might need to endure everything that the Holy Bible says will happen before the end of this age.

That way, we will not be among those who “fall away” from their faith in Him when we are faced with unexpected hardships (2 Thessalonians 2: 1-5).

The Lord might call us home sooner… or He might gather us just before the Day of the Lord (the battle of Armageddon). Either way, we are to trust Him completely – no matter what.

Like the 5 wise virgins who brought extra oil, we are to be prepared for the possibility that the Bridegroom might not arrive as soon as we think He will (Matthew 25: 1-13).

We are to prepare as if His return might be delayed until the last possible moment (the battle of Armageddon) – so that our faith can be unshakeable no matter what happens.

We do not need to fear the future if we truly trust the Lord.

He is in control (Revelation 19: 6).
He has a plan for each of us (Jeremiah 29: 11).
He is faithful (1 Corinthians 10: 13).
He will be with us no matter what (Matthew 28: 20).
He will make good things come from whatever hardship we face (Romans 8: 28).
And we are building up treasures in heaven (not on this earth) (Mathew 6: 20).

Regardless of whether or not you believe that you will be here during the final 7 years or during the Great Tribulation (the 2nd half of the final 7 years), PLEASE spiritually prepare for the possibility that you might be here.

May your faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be unshakable no matter what the future may hold. God bless you!

I could have commented with a summary, but allow me to comment with an article I have as yet not completed and which I’ll complete and post shortly.
The Final Countdown to the Final Showdown.

The clear-cut evidence of the convergence of Biblical end time signs leaves no doubt that the second coming of Jesus is a hair’s breadth away. However, Bible expositors of our day are struggling to concur on the hermeneutical interpretation of scriptures to do with the various issues of the events that need to be fulfilled before the second coming.

A major component in this area is the duration of the times covering end time events, such as “a thousand two hundred and threescore days” that the two witnesses will prophesy and a supposed 7-year tribulation period.

While “no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation” and needs to be illumined by the Holy Ghost (2Peter 1:20, 21), I would suggest that most of us have had it wrong in the interpretation of the duration factor in each case where given time periods come into the picture.

In this paper I will cover these issues in an attempt to put things into perspective and so prove that “sudden destruction” is really the only catastrophe that awaits the world and that many Christians will be floundering when their “we’re outta here” pre-tribulation rapture beliefs totally fade into oblivion.

Each component will be handled in a concise manner and I will leave it to well-informed Christian scholars to make their own extended scriptural inputs based on what I offer as a foundation. So this is really a nutshell rendition covering the topics that follow. A good place to start is the 7-year tribulation hoax.

The 7-year tribulation derived from Daniel 9:27. “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)

Clearly, if “the” covenant is to be “confirmed”, then it had to have been an existing covenant – and it happened to be the covenant God made with Abraham confirmed by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Where do we find some future antichrist and his 7-year supposed covenant enter into the equation in this passage of scripture? Nowhere! And nowhere in Revelation is mention made of a 7-year peace treaty, a 7-year tribulation or a figure known as the antichrist. All of it is pure speculation, assumption or thumb suck – all because of Daniel 9:27.

Jesus, for about 3.5 years, until the cross, preached the gospel to the Jews and his disciples continued for the next 3.5 year until the stoning of Stephen. From that point onwards the gospel was taken to the gentiles and to all that would believe, whether Jew or Greek. It should be borne in mind that the Apostles and disciples were Christ-filled believers (like all true believers) by the power of the Holy Spirit operating in and through them, bringing Mark 16:20 into effect. “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

By “the Lord working with them” is tantamount to the last half of the confirmation of the covenant being confirmed by Jesus by proxy of his disciples after the house of Israel was left desolate as per Matt. 23:38. And in Luke 13:35 Jesus states that henceforth Jews will find entrance to the Kingdom as individuals (“Ye shall not see me, until the time come”) when they hear and finally believe the truth as expounded to them by those who come in the name of the Lord. “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
The New Testament makes no reference to and neither provides confirmation of a 7-year tribulation leading up to the wrath of God upon the world.

We shall see how things unfold as we examine the ‘times’ given to events concerning the end times.
The “great tribulation” befell the Jewish nation leading up to and beyond 70 A.D. During the period of the advent of Jesus Christ the world population stood at about 200 million – some say about 290 million. Jesus stated that there would be great tribulation for the Jews at that time like never before or ever will be again. It stands to reason that it would be considered such a great tribulation upon the then population of the Jews when measured against the total world population at that time. Over a million Jews were killed – mainly crucified – and a hundred thousand were taken into slavery. “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Mt 24:21,22)

The “elect” were those Christian Jews who were given time to escape the great tribulation by a God-orchestrated respite in the attack from Roman forces. The elect at that time composed the ones who went into all the world at that time to “preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15).
If it weren’t for the escaping “elect” at that time there would be no elect today – not that there is anything impossible for God.

The previous trouble of Jacob. “Jacob’s trouble” is not an event to befall an end time, man-made state of Israel. Jeremiah 30:7 speaks of the suffering of the nation (“Jacob’s trouble”) during the Assyrian and Babylonian captivity of Israel and Judah after which the Medo-Persians allowed all former captives to return to their homelands. A remnant from all Israel, from both the northern and southern kingdoms, returned as a united Israel after the Babylonian captivity.

All members of the Jewish race are now treated as individuals having to seek and find salvation like any other individuals from any other nation. “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Rom. 10:12,13)

Today, bloodline Jews remain in dispersion and only about 3% of the population of Israel are made up of bloodline Jews. The Khazar Jews – having adopted the Jewish religion to avoid persecution earlier in their history – make up the majority of the population of today’s man-made state of Israel.

The “time, times and a half a time” of Daniel 7. Speaking of the fourth beast, being the Roman Empire and the Roman Imperial religion to follow, Daniel 7 gives the duration of time that the Vatican popes will persecute Christians. “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” (Dan. 7:23-25)

A Jewish year = 360 days, so 360 x 3.5 = 1260 days. Based on the principle of a year for a day and the Jewish 30-day months, we arrive at 1260 years. The “saints of the most High” were the Protestants persecuted and killed, which occurred from 538 AD to 1798 AD when the Roman Church pursued and persecuted the reformists throughout Europe, killing millions. These are the “fellowservants” referred to in Rev. 6:11 and form part of the entire group of “great tribulation” (those under the “altar” and “fellowservants”) saints in Rev. 7:14.

Those “under the altar” (the 70 A.D. period onwards) and “fellowservants” (the 538 – 1798 period) are seen together in heaven in Rev. 7:9. “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;”

And then they are identified as having emerged from the great tribulation of Christian Jews and their Greek (gentile) converts to whom the gospel was preached.
“And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Rev. 7:13,14)
After the 1260 years (ending 1798) the then Pope ‘s power was removed when he was arrested and died (“head wound”) in prison allowing the Jesuit Order (the “beast”) to take full control, thereby ending the reign of the papacy.

The Babylonian Roman Church was reinstated in 1929 by a Jesuits/Mussolini treaty and political power once again belonged to a line of Popes. This is the “image” of the “beast” (Jesuit Order) now under the full control of the Jesuits. A member of the Jesuit Order now holds office as Pope.

The persecution from 538 – 1798 is referred to in Rev. 11. “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” (Rev. 11:2,3)
The two witnesses are the Scriptures and the Church.

The symbolic “sackcloth” imagery relates to their inner spiritual relationship with God during the years of their faithfulness while suffering under persecution.
The world of darkness, the Babylonian world where our Lord was crucified, is portrayed as and symbolised by Sodom and Egypt during the 1260 years.
“And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.” (Rev. 11:8, 9)

The same 1260 years is seen in Rev. 12. “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” (Rev. 12:6)
But the Church prevails under a hand divine during this period. “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” (Rev. 12:14)

Those who survived (the remnant) dispersed from Europe after the 1260 years to Britain and America and the rest of the world and we are in a spiritual war to this day. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev. 12:17)

Rev. 13 identifies the beast and his seat at the Vatican, the source of persecution during the 1260 years.
“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” (Rev. 13:5, 6)

The mark of the beast applies to this period of time and not to the end of the age. Without allegiance to and worship of the Roman beast buying or selling was not permitted. “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:15-17)

It should be clear that the time periods in Book of Revelation does not cover time periods applicable to the end times and that a 7-year end time tribulation period cannot be gleaned from it. The opening of the seals in Rev. 6 provides further clarity concerning the 70 A.D. period and the 1260-year period
.
The opening of the white horse seal is not the first seal being opened, but “one of the seals”, suggesting that it remains open throughout the persecution time period culminating in the “souls under the altar” scene (Rev. 6:9) and “fellowservants” scene (Rev. 7:14)
.
Thereafter the seals are named as the second, third, fourth, etc seals that begin with the 70 A.D. and throughout the 1260-year period.

The white horse and its rider represent the Church going “forth conquering, and to conquer” from the time of its founding to the end of the age. Jesus is the head of the Church and stands by his bride until the day of his wrath.
Indeed, we are more than conquerors.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Rom. 8:35-37)
White is always a symbol of purity and holiness in contrast to that which is dark and evil. The bow represents the spiritual power to take the offensive in the spiritual war against the enemies of the Church. (See Gen. 48:22; 1 Chron. 5:18; Ps 7:12; 45:5; Zech 9:13; Hab. 3:8,9). Apocalyptic symbols are used in the visions throughout the revelations.

The other seals represent God’s judgment upon the Roman Empire and the resultant aftermath of famine and death.

Old Testament apocalyptic symbols again come into play from verse 12 to 16 and finally, in verse 17, the fall of the Roman Empire is depicted (during the fourth century) after the Roman persecutions of 70 A.D. onwards and before the commencement of the 1260-year period of onslaught against Christians by the pagan Roman church.

The Christian world is in for a mighty big surprise when “sudden destruction” comes before any supposed future tribulation.

Right now we’re in “the beginning of sorrows” era (since the establishment of the Church) which will not abate but flow into God’s final day of wrath through Jesus Christ.

Jesus made it clear that those who endure unto the end shall be saved. Are modern-day Christians any better than the Apostles and the millions of persecuted and martyred Christians of the past and the present in the Middle East and Asia where millions are being persecuted and killed? Are we so comfortable that we believe in a “we’re outta here” rapture before we have to “endure” unto the end? It is the “we’re outta here” group that is in danger of capitulating to the enemy to save themselves when persecution comes their way.

Jesus told us to “watch” – not for a tribulation period involving a set number of years, but for a build-up to the wrath to come. We’re in that build-up now awaiting “sudden destruction”. The build-up includes the agenda of the Globalist cabal, a probable nuclear war, and an attack on man-made Israel where the population is made up of only about 3% bloodline Jews. The majority are Khazars – Jews by religion. The tribes of Israel are still in dispersion all over the world and will have to seek and find salvation as individuals.

It is quite evident that we are in the very last decade of existence before Jesus returns to take “vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” and “will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn”.
We need to “watch” as all these things unfold. We need to “watch” and remain faithful as followers of Christ.
Peace and safety? “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” (1Thess. 5:3)

Since World War II there has been relative peace and safety in the world – a kind of peace and safety that have lulled the world into a false sense of security, even though there has been a massive decline in moral values, a colossal escalation in violence and natural disasters. So blind has the human race become that when sudden destruction hits it will have been totally unexpected – as summed up in 2 Thess. 1: 7-9.
“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”

  Based on your article, it’s clear you believe that most of the end times prophecies were fulfilled centuries/millenniums ago. Although I believe that the historical events you mentioned were simply harbingers (warnings) of what is yet to come, I do agree with you on a few things:
  
  • I agree that we appear to be in the final decade of this age before Jesus returns.
  • I agree that people who expect an early rapture are at risk for falling away when things get worse.
  
  Okay, now the stuff where we don’t quite agree…
  
  The Final 7 Years
  
  You call the 7-year covenant/treaty/tribulation period a “hoax” and state that the 70 “weeks” (Daniel 9) have already been fulfilled. But you are overlooking what God said would happen immediately after the final 7 years were complete:
  
  24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (Daniel 9: 24)
  
  Most people do not realize that the term “weeks” refers to the 7-year Sabbath year cycles (Shemitahs) that God established in Leviticus 25-26. The decree for 70 “weeks” was counted out in 3 parts: 7 “weeks”, 62 “weeks”, and 1 “week” because there are periods of time in between.
  
  When the 70 “weeks” are complete, God will bring in everlasting righteousness and anoint the most Holy (Jesus Christ). Upon completion of the final “week” (a 7-year period), Jesus will return as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
  
  When the 70 “weeks” are over, Jesus Christ will begin His reign. Since the final 7 years marks the time just before Jesus’ return, the final 7 years clearly didn’t happen 2,000 years ago.
  
  The Shemitah Cycle
  
  Before the Jewish people made a covenant with God, He explained the blessings for obeying Him and the consequences for disobedience. In Leviticus 25-26, God emphasized the importance of observing a 7-year cycle and keeping the 7th year as a holy year (a Sabbath year). The Sabbath year cycle is also referred to as a Shemitah cycle.
  
  After years of disobedience and not obeying His command to observe the Sabbath years, God implemented the consequences: He destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and sent His chosen people into exile and captivity – so that His land would observe its Sabbath rest (Leviticus 26: 34-35).
  
  God takes the Sabbath year cycle very seriously. I encourage you not to dismiss the 7-year reference so casually.
  
  The first 4 Seals
  
  Although this was not part of your article, I’d like to share some additional information about God’s emphasis on His 7-year Shemitah cycle.
  
  Each of the first 4 Seals (Revelation 6: 1-8) were opened exactly 7 years apart on the last day (29 Elul) of consecutive Shemitah cycles: 1994, 2001, 2018, 2015.
  
  God provided unique proof that the 4th Seal was opened on Sept 13, 2015. Please see our article: “What is the 7th Year of the 4th Horseman?”
  
  If God chooses to continue with the pattern He established with the first 4 Seals, the 5th Seal will be opened Sept 2022. The opening of the 5th Seal marks the beginning of the final 7 years.
  
  Confirmation of a Covenant
  
  You stated that a covenant being “confirmed” automatically means that the covenant had been in existence for an extended period of time. However, it could simply mean that a promise was solidified. For example, it could apply to a temporary cease-fire (e.g., after WW3 begins) which culminates in a treaty of 10 kings (Daniel 7: 24) (Revelation 17: 12).
  
  The Antichrist
  
  You asked where “some future antichrist and his 7-year supposed covenant” appears in scripture. While the 7-year treaty is only mentioned in Daniel 9: 27, there are references to 10 kings coming into power and giving their power to the Beast for a short period of time – the likely result of a treaty (Daniel 7) (Revelation17).
  
  The future Antichrist is described in MANY places:
  
  Daniel 7: 8, Daniel 7: 21-22, Daniel 7: 25, Daniel 8: 9-12, Daniel 8: 23-25, Daniel 9: 26-27, Daniel 11: 21-24, Matthew 24: 15, 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4, 2 Thessalonians 2: 8-12, Rev 13: 4-8, Rev 19: 19-21.
  
  Great Tribulation before God’s wrath
  
  You said that “the New Testament makes no reference to and neither provides confirmation of” a great tribulation leading up to the wrath of God upon the world. But the New Testament does indeed reference a specific tribulation period that immediately precedes the return of Jesus Christ:
  
  21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. (Matthew 24: 21-22)
  
  29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24: 29-31)
  
  Since the return of Jesus Christ takes place IMMEDIATELY after the great tribulation, that event (the great tribulation) clearly has not yet happened.
  
  You stated that Jesus said the tribulation would befall only the Jews. However, Jesus never said that the tribulation would befall only the Jews. Jesus even said that NO HUMAN would survive if the that time of great tribulation was not cut short. In addition, Revelation 12: 12-17 says that Satan will take his wrath out onto both Jews and Christians (aka the great tribulation).
  
  The 4th Beast
  
  You are adamant that the 4th Beast (Daniel 7) is the Roman Empire (and the Vatican). I am not defending the Roman Empire or the Vatican, however, there is not any concrete evidence that the 4th Beast is the Roman Empire or the Vatican. More than likely they are part of the 3rd Beast.
  
  The 1st Beast is Britain. The 2nd Beast is Russia. The 3rd Beast is the European Union. The 4th Beast is something else entirely. According to Daniel 7: 11-12, the 4th Beast will eventually be destroyed but the other 3 Beasts will be stripped of their dominion and allowed to remain for a while longer.   In addition to persecuting Christians, the 4th Beast makes desolate everything in its path. It devours the earth and leaves a path of destruction. As such, the terrifying 4th Beast is most likely a representation of either an Islamic Jihad, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and/or the return of the Nephilim (e.g., Nimrod/Gilgamesh/Osiris).
  
  Daniel 2: 40-43 describes a 4th kingdom as “iron mixed with clay.” The Bible refers to humans as “clay” but what is the reference to “iron”? Perhaps the mixture is describing: AI and humans, Transhumanism, or Nephilim and humans.
  
  Revelation 13: 1-10 describes the end times Beast as a conglomeration of all 4 of the Beasts described in Daniel 7.
  
  A few other things to consider:
  
  The woman described in Revelation 12 is a representation of Israel (the woman gives birth to Jesus Christ). Satan first targets the woman (Israel) and then targets the rest of her offspring (Christians) (Revelation 12: 13-17).
  
  1 Thessalonians 5: 3 says that “sudden destruction” is the beginning of labor pains (not the sudden end of this age). It is a reference to the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24: 8). Therefore, it marks the beginning of the final few years before Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom.
  
  The “peace and safety” could reference an unprecedented treaty for world peace (at any cost) which is likely to follow an unprecedented world war (WW3).
  
  In Summary
  
  I believe that many of the historical events which resemble the end times prophecies are merely harbingers of what is about to happen. God warns His people and encourages them to repent. He also wants us to prepare for what is to come in the very near future. That includes a period of great tribulation before Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom.
  
  If people are preparing for “sudden destruction” but are not preparing for years of great tribulation, they will not be prepared to “endure” what is coming. It’s a good idea to be prepared for the possibility that the bridegroom might arrive later than you think.
