What is the Ezekiel Project?

The Ezekiel Project is about providing emergency food caches for God’s people. Especially for people that you don’t even know!

It’s based on the shelf-stable ingredients for bread that sustained Ezekiel when he was on bread and water for over a year (Ezekiel 4: 9). God has provided us with a bread recipe that can sustain life for a prolonged period of time.

Why is it needed?

By preparing small emergency food caches and placing them wherever God tells us to put them, we can make a difference. God can bless whomever He chooses by leading them to the hidden food caches.

  • We can help God’s people who are alive during and/or after the 6thTrumpet war (an event in which one third of mankind will be killed) (Revelation 9: 14-21).
  • We can help God’s people who are alive during the Great Tribulation. God’s people will not be able to buy or sell (Revelation 13: 17).

Why do it now?

In 2020, the United Nations declared that 2021 will include a famine of Biblical proportions due to ongoing crop issues and COVID19. In other words: plagues (droughts, flooding, tsunamis, ice storms, locusts, rodents, disease, etc).

How do current events fit Biblical prophecies?

We are very near the end of this age. That is good because when this age ends, Jesus begins His eternal reign. But the Holy Bible tells us that certain things will happen before Jesus Christ returns

  • The Holy Bible warns that there will be famine during the time of the 4thSeal. The 4thHorseman of the Apocalypse is given power over ¼ of the earth to kill with the sword, famine, plagues, and wild animals (Revelation 6: 7-8). God has provided evidence that the 4thSeal was opened September 2015.
  • The 5thSeal (Revelation 6: 9-11) appears to start the clock for the final 7 years (Daniel 9: 27). It is very likely to begin when the next 7-year Shemitah cycle begins (September 2022). The Great Tribulation takes place during the last half of the final 7 years.
  • The unprecedented 7-year treaty is likely to follow an unprecedented war (the 6thTrumpet war) (Revelation 9: 14-21). It appears that the 6thTrumpet war will impact the USA in June 2022. It may be very difficult to get things into place after that date.

We must be careful about setting tentative dates regarding the fulfillment of God’s prophecies. But if we don’t at least consider possible dates, it’s too easy to procrastinate preparing for what the Holy Bible tells us is going to happen. And there are a lot of indicators that we are truly in the end times.

So, let’s get our house in order spiritually and physically. And let’s also prepare for how we can help others during the challenging times that are ahead.

Why Bread?

The world tells us that bread is bad. But God has repeatedly confirmed that the right bread is good.

Bread of Life

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. (John 6: 35)

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. (John 6: 51)

Bread of Heaven

15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. (Exodus 16: 15)

Ezekiel Bread

Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and fitches [emmer / spelt] and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, 390 days shalt thou eat thereof.

10 And thy meat [food] which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels [a shekel = 11 grams or 2/5 ounces] a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.s

11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin [a hin = 3.5 liters or 4 quarts]: from time to time shalt thou drink. (Ezekiel 4: 9-11)

The Ezekiel Project

When God commanded Ezekiel to make a special bread, He provided a recipe for bread and water that could sustain life for over a year. That specific combination of ingredients creates a complete protein (it contains all essential amino acids).

This project includes trusting that God will send whomever He chooses to discover the hidden cache of emergency food. They will be able to make Ezekiel 4: 9 bread at a time when food may be scarce.

We also encourage you to maintain those same shelf-stable ingredients within your own home.

Ezekiel bread ingredients:

  • Wheat (einkorn = ancient, non-hybridized)
  • Barley
  • Beans (chickpeas)
  • Lentils (green or brown)
  • Millet
  • Spelt or emmer

Other food items needed:

  • Water (filtered)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold pressed) (for bread and first aid)
  • Sea Salt
  • Honey (raw, organic) (for bread and first aid)
  • Red Wine (for communion and first aid)

Non-food items needed:

  • Holy Bible (complete text) (KJV: because other versions leave out important verses)
  • Recipe for making Ezekiel bread
  • Firestarter / lighter / matches
  • Vessel (for combining and soaking ingredients) (e.g. mason jar with screen lid)
  • Cotton towel (cheesecloth or flour sack towel)
  • Food safe bucket (to hold cache items and later can be used to carry water)

Optional items that could also be included:

  • Garden seeds (e.g. leafy greens, herbs, fruit, veggies)
  • Spices and herbs (e.g. parsley, coriander, garlic, onion, pepper, rosemary, sage, thyme)
  • Canned fish (e.g. sardines, mackerel, kippered herring, wild-caught salmon)
  • Canned olives (with easy open)
  • Pocket knife, metal spoon/cup, safety pins, twine/cord, dental floss, bar of soap, comb
  • Pad of paper (with pen or mechanical pencil)
  • Water filtration unit (e.g. sawyer)

Instructions for the Ezekiel Project:

Gather the listed items. Whenever possible, use organic / non-GMO foods. Please select food that most closely resembles the way God created it.

Place each of the food items into separate food-safe containers. Although Ziploc bags are an option for the dry ingredients, recycled plastic bottles can keep the food fresher (and help protect from mice).

Next, place the items into a water-tight food-safe container (e.g. white bucket) that can be buried. This will become the emergency cache. The container should be buried one to two feet underground. We encourage you to make as many caches as God leads you to make.

Why use whole grains/legumes/seeds instead of flour?

Whole grains will store better than processed grains (e.g. flour). Whoever uses the ingredients can soak/sprout the whole grains/legumes/seeds before mashing them and making bread. In addition, the sprouting process makes the grains/legumes/seeds easier to digest.

When the grain/legume/seed is sprouted, the young shoot digests part of the starch to fuel its growth. As a result, some of the starch has been utilized and the level of vital nutrients (e.g. proteins, vitamins, minerals) are enhanced and more easily absorbed into the body.

Another benefit of including whole grains/legumes/seeds instead of their flour version is that they can still be used for planting/growing into mature plants. If they are already ground into flour, they cannot also be used for starting a garden.

If you choose to provide flour instead of whole foods, please also include some whole grains/legumes/seeds for planting.

Where to bury the caches?

Ask the Lord where He would have you bury the emergency caches (local and/or remote areas).

Ask Him to direct whomever He chooses to the hidden caches at such a time as it is needed.

Ask Him to multiply the ingredients so that it does not run out until it is no longer needed.

14 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’ (1 Kings 17: 14)

Why do this project?

Even if you don’t believe that you will ever need to have emergency food caches, please consider providing emergency food caches for others. In addition, please help people in your community who are currently struggling.

34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’

37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (Matthew 25: 34-40)

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25: 41-46)
